Projects

1. Demolinux

   • Since 1998, development of the projet « DemoLinux » (www.demolinux.org), in collaboration with ROBERTO DI COSMO and VINCENT BALAT, for the promotion of the GNU Linux operating system and free software in general. We produce demo CDROMs that allow to run Linux without installation, disk partitioning and other hassles that usually prevent people from giving Linux a try. The DemoLinux CDROM contains a self-configurable operating system running on all principal architectures, PCs or compatible. With the participation of the Ministère de l'Éducation Nationale (CNDP), the Département Général pour l'Armement (DGA), Sun Microsystems France, Red Hat France, Mandrake Software and Linbox.
The DemoLinux CDROM was published by the INRIA, in 2002 (see the edition), and was published in several magazines since 1999 of the specialized press in the world (for instance in France, Italy, Thailand and Japan).

2. HyperNietzsche

   • Person responsible for the software infrastructure of the project « HyperNietzsche » (www.hypernietzsche.org), a hypertext-based system for the edition, communication and other scientific activities concerning the works of the philosopher FRIEDRICH NIETZSCHE. Based at the Institut des Textes et Manuscrits modernes (ITEM) of CNRS since 1998. The project is financed in France by the CNRS and by the Ministère de la Recherche, and in Germany by the Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung and by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft.
